“What’s for breakfast Mom??!!” How many times have you heard that?? If you are like me and Steve, when we are on vacation, that is a questions we LOVE to hear. Vacation means discovering all the hidden gems a place has to offer. The best resource is to ask the LOCALS. Locals love to tell people about their town and their favorite places. When we are looking for a place to eat, we don’t want to go somewhere that we have in our home town or a chain restaurant. Branson has so many hidden gems that have amazing breakfast with the best service!! Billy Gail’s, Grandma Ruth’s and the Farmhouse Restaurant are some of Branson’s best!
Are you wanting a quick bite to eat before your day in Branson begins? Grandma Ruth’s has the best cinnamon rolls around. Grandma’s rolls are soft and fluffy with the amazing taste of cinnamon, sugar and icing. Their cinnamon rolls are just like your grandmother makes. The smell of cinnamon fills the air. You wont be able to eat just one. They have just moved into a bigger space across from Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex on Shepherd of the Hills Parkway. Since they have a bigger space, they now offer a cafe so you can have lunch there too.
Are you looking for traditional breakfast so you can spend time around the breakfast table with the family. Billy Gail’s and The Farmhouse Restaurant fits the bill. Billy Gails was featured on MAN vs FOOD back in January 2018. Mrs Gail and her staff makes each person feel like part of the Billy Gail’s family. They are FAMOUS for their pancakes that are bigger than the plate. If you order one, you better have a super large appetite. Yes, the pancakes are big enough to share. Steve’s favorite for breakfast is their Steak and Eggs. That is something that will carry you thru the morning. Make sure and get their early if you don’t want to wait. It isis a favorite spot in Branson. Located at 5291 State Highway 265, it is close to Indian Point. The Farmhouse Restaurant is located in downtown Historic Branson district just past Dicks 5 & 10. They have been a gathering place for Branson locals for years. The down home charm and the friendliness of the staff makes you feel like you just walked into your family kitchen. The smells of bacon cooking and breakfast on the stove will transport you back to your childhood. My favorite thing to eat at The Farmhouse Restaurant is their French Toast. It has just the right mixture of thick sourdough bread and powder sugar dipped in an amazing egg bath. Steve loves their biscuits and gravy with bacon. Hot fluffy biscuits and their white sausage gravy like grandma makes makes his mouth water.
