There is no better time to come to Branson than in the FALL!!! With cool, crisp temperatures and amazing colors, you will be able to enjoy all Branson has to do in the fall at a leisurely pace. The balcony of the condo gives you amazing views of Table Rock Lake and the Ozark Mountains. Reconnecting as a family is so easy in the fall. There are many activities that we can enjoy together. Fall is synonymous with Festivals and 5K’s. There are many to choose from in Branson and the surrounding areas. If you haven’t before, it is time to come enjoy Branson in the fall.
Steve and I love setting out on the balcony on a cool morning with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and being amazing by the beauty of Table Rock Lake and the vibrant colors of the Ozark Mountains. I have a humming bird feeder that we can see off the balcony. We love watching their strength and beauty embodied in such an amazing bird. It is during these times that we connect, plan our day and sometimes just enjoy the sounds of nature. As the morning sun rises, you can find us exploring Branson in the fall. We love to fish. Table Rock Lake provides us amazing fishing. Alexis likes to catch walleye, brim and crappie. She will always remember fishing the lake with me and Steve; but we will remember it as spending time with each other as a family unplugged from all that tries to grab us into a state of business and neglect family time.
The fall is the perfect time to enjoy Silver Dollar City, the Entertainment strip and shopping with the family. Our favorite festival is Silver Dollar City’s National Crafts & Cowboy Festival. It just takes you to a simpler place in time. We have so much fun walking thru the crafts section eating saltwater taffy and drinking apple cider. Meeting the crafters and seeing their talent come out in the items they create is the highlight of our time at the festival. There is everything from blacksmiths, horses making homemade sorghum, painting, and homemade crafts. Last year, I bought Steve a framed piece of copper for Christmas from one of the vendors. The colors in the copper was unusual and memorizing. With the cooler weather why don’t you park the car and walk around Branson. There are many things besides live entertainment shows that you can enjoy. Riding the Ferris Wheel and seeing the views from the top is thrilling. Stroll thru downtown Branson. There has been so much renewal and renovation. Enjoy shops such as Dicks 5 & 10, antique shops and much more. Stop by the Farmhouse Restaurant for some great down-home cooking. Enjoy family time outdoors with your family.
The Baskins LOVE and outdoor festival. Branson and the surrounding area have so many to choose from. One of our favorites is Autumn Daze Arts, Crafts & Music Festival in downtown Branson. This takes place in September. There is lots of vendors, great food and music to enjoy. One of my favorite memories of this festival is when Alexis was little, there was a vendor that had children’s music on CD’s. She could customize it with any name. We got one for Alexis and gave it to her for her birthday. She was amazed that there was a CD all about her. She listened to it all the time. The Seymour Apple Festival in Seymour, Missouri is on our bucket list. Nestled in Old Order Amish country this festival draws approximately 15,000 people. I am sure this festival will have amazing crafts and food. It takes place September 7-9, 2018. I will let you know how much fun our family had.
